Alp Saul
Chairman
Alp Saul currently serves as the executive chairman of Pronet, which provides electronic security systems for the residential and commercial applications on a subscription basis. Pronet has over 1,500 employees, and a track record of attracting multiple foreign direct investment from reputable investment funds such as Franklin Templeton, Turkven and Cinven, which is the current investor in the business. In 2013, he founded Waternet to provide water filtration services to residential and commercial customers on a subscription basis. Alp is a serial entrepreneur with 25 years of experience, where he has started, managed and exited numerous ventures. Alp holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia.
Hüseyin Tural Okur
Founder
Tural is a Vice President at Gulf Capital, a leading investment platform based out of Dubai. At Gulf Capital, Tural oversees a wide portfolio of investments across the MENA, East Africa and Turkey. Prior to joining Gulf Capital, Tural served as a Vice President at Sunvest Investments based in Turkey, focusing on mid-market growth capital and buyout opportunities. He started his career in 2009 at PwC, where he provided M&A and financial due diligence advisory to various private equity transactions and strategic acquisitions in numerous mid-market and green-field investment projects. Tural has a deep experience in investing across different layers of capital structure including majority / minority / preferred equity and senior / subordinated loans, and brings ten years of international M&A and direct investment experience to Purunity. Tural holds a BSc in Economics from Middle East Technical University and an MBA from INSEAD.
Zohaib Jalal
Advisory Board
Zohaib is the Director of the IMEC Group based in the UAE, where he manages the company’s fast-growing outsourcing business which employs over a thousand people. A seasoned executive with a background in banking and finance, Zohaib has acquired and successfully established projects with MNC’s, expanding IMEC’s reach across various industries. His main focus is bringing in new verticals and businesses under the group and capitalizing on the growing outsourcing and technology trends in the region. As a business leader, Zohaib champions diversity & inclusion, and is passionate about developing the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the GCC region. He graduated with Honors in BBA from Wilfrid Laurier University and has an MBA from INSEAD.
Ali Al Farsi
Advisory Board
Mr. Ali Al Farsi is an investment professional with an experience in Private Equity and Asset Management locally and internationally in various sectors including financial services, insurance, retail, telecom infrastructure, tech-venture capital, and manufacturing and renewable. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the College of Economics at Sultan Qaboos University.
